The issue of integration of migrants is a part of the widely understood migration policy, which actually does not exist in Poland. The presence of immigrants in Poland is a fact, a need and a strong support for the Polish economy. However, it is difficult to perceive such an approach in public discourse and in legal solutions. Apart from the individual support program for recognized refugees and access to selected benefits for several groups of newcomers, it is difficult to speak of a coherent integration vision in Polish law. Well-functioning integration policies, providing sensible solutions from schooling to the labor market, and access to political rights, increase the chances of successful and harmonious coexistence of people from different cultural groups.
Stowarzyszenie Interwerwencji Prawnej is involved in strategic litigation, advocacy and integration support to ensure fair access to social and medical assistance for refugees, migrants and their families. We also offer comprehensive counselling and integration assistance (case management) for people from particularly vulnerable groups. Furthermore, our volunteers provide language support in matters of their daily lives.
