From February to end of May we are conducting classes for Chechen and Polish children in Brwinow.
Polish children come from Brwinow and the vicinity, while Chechen children reside in the centre for foreigners in Moszna village about 20km from Warsaw and 6km from Brwinow. All the children are students of School Complex No.1 in Brwinow.
Apart from weekly classes for children, we also organize Chechen-Polish shared cooking in Voluntary Fire Brigade’s headquarters in Brwinow. Women friends from Moszna centre – Madina, Raja, Zulya, Iman – show all the interested how to prepare national Chechen dishes. They also tell people about their culture and habits.
During the first days of workshops, Chechen men from Moszna center turned out to be an invaluable help. Due to insufficient funds and lack of permission for the use of school bus we were not able to provide the children with transport to the classes. Then, Chechen men came to our aid. For four days they drove the children for classes in Brwinow and back, frequently going there and back a few times a day. Without their help we would not have managed to conduct the classes. Their honest and selfless commitment was a great support to us. We warmly thank you!
We invite you to follow our adventures on the website and on our Facebook profile. We post pictures and give accounts of our activity. Soon, the results of the children’s artistic work will be included – film shot during the classes, pictures and photos. We invite you to see them and to react.
